What is the importance of preserving tradition in Camadc music and to what extent should breaking tradition be allowed?

What do you mean by tradition?

Tradition is the method of singing established by the musicians and musicologists. It is exemplified in the concert paddhati, for instance Is it? Platform singing — concert-giving — you call that tradition? Tyagarajaswami has said that those who sing for others are unpardonable sinners. Paluku bojina sabhalu ani patitamana vana kosage khalulu. He never sang for others, he never sang someone else's songs too. The practice of singing on the platform is of recent origin, may be the last seventy-five years. So how can that be tradition? If anything, it's most untraditional. Indeed, we are all sinners, we who sing for others.
