Ganesa Natyalaya and
the Central Sangeet
Natak Akademi jointly
organised a meeting in New Delhi
on 8th April to pay tribute to
some eminent personalities in the
field of performing arts who passed
away recently. References were
made to the contribution of
Subbudu (critic), Padmanabhan
Nair (Kathakali guru), Narmadha
and Kubernath Tanjorekar (Bharatanatyam guru-s), T. Muktha and
Tiruvengadu Jayaraman (Carnatic
musicians), all of them SNA
awardees, and also to R. Yagnaraman
(sabhanayaka).
