His paintings are immortal

Abraham Lincoln once said, “It is not the years
in your life but the life in your years, that is
important”. Rajam Sir was one of the few, whose
life had years and years had life. Sruti’s tribute referring to
him as a ‘rare gem’, on the occasion of his 90th birthday,
was quite apt.
What a remarkable personality he was – versatile in
the performing and graphic arts, player of many roles
with distinction, wide ranging in his interactions,
perceptive in his observations, deeply insightful, well
equipped as a resource person, willing to share, generous
in appreciation, and engaged in purposeful activity almost
till the end.
