Platinum Jubilee Celebration
With great pleasure, we attach our Evite for the 75th Year Platinum Jubilee Celebration & Bhagavata Mela Nataka Mahotsav, scheduled to be held on and from the 7th May, 2015.
The ritualistic Bhagavata Mela tradition, a Telugu Heritage nurtured in Tamil country, richly deserves a vast support from the art-world. Came into being as a result of Bhakti movement about 400 years ago, it is not far different from the Kuchipudi Bhagavata Mela and is considered in par with the Saint Thygaraja festival of Thriruvayyaru.
The Bhagavata Mela Nataka Mahotsav – 2015 features not only Bhagavata Mela natakams but many fitting events akin to Bhagavata Mela also.
